Sunday morning was cold, with frost on the ground in the valleys, and ice on the small ponds on the mountain. Everything was closed, except for the Esso station, so many of us loaded up for lunch with pre-made sandwiches and snacks for lunch up on the mountain. One group was headed for Lønningdal to follow the path taken by the crew 78 years earlier; the other group would reach Botnavatnet by taking the path from Rolfsvag, a path that had become much steeper since the first time we had taken it 16 years earlier.

Once we got back to Os and recovered from our hike, most of the Canadian group met for one last ‘informal’ evening with some of the organizers and hosts at Peppe’s Pizza in Os on Sunday evening before the Canadians headed their separate ways home beginning early Monday morning.
